NOT A CHANCE OF A GHOST is a musical comedy about a young urban couple who buy an old Maine farmhouse as a second home.
In taking possession of the farmhouse the couple finds that the spirits of the couple who built the house a hundred years earlier are present in the house. The ghosts are not optimistic about the new owners' plans for the property, and one of them begins a campaign to discourage them from staying.
The conflict is further complicated by the intrusion of the director of a neighboring music camp, who, in arranging to use the farmhouse's front parlor to teach a gifted female instrumentalist, has more on his mind than music.
